Teachers urged to focus on students’ character-building

LAKKI MARWAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Services Commission Chief Commissioner Muhammad Mushtaq Jadoon has called upon the teachers to focus on character-building of students and hone their talents.

During a visit to a Government Primary School Totiabad in Lakki city, he said that the Southern districts were rich in talent and people from those backward areas excelled in all fields. He said that teachers had a pivotal role in development process and reformation of society, therefore, they should prepare students to compete future challenges effectively.

Jadoon also kicked off tree plantation drive by sowing a sapling on the premises of school. DEO Abdul Salam, SDEO Akhtar Zaman, ADEO Abdul Rehman Rashid, ASDEO Sharifullah Khan, ASI representatives Saqib Rehman and school’s headmaster Haji Azizullah were also present.

Meanwhile, district police officer Arif Shehbaz Khan has said that police will provide internship facility to the students of Government College of Management Sciences so as to help them to enhance their capacities and improve professional skills. He extended the offer during a visit to the college on Saturday. The official examined security arrangements at the institution and checked functionality of closed-circuit television cameras.

He assured that area police would provide all out assistance to the college administration to improve security and ensure provision of peaceful environment for teaching and learning activities.
