GCU Staff Cricket begins

LAHORE: The Government College University (GCU) Lahore Inter-Departmental Staff Cricket Tournament 2018 began here Wednesday at the university’s Oval Ground.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah inaugurated the tournament. As many as 24 teams, including of librarians, engineering cell, security guards, drivers and gardeners are participating in the week-long cricket tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Shah said that sports must be promoted among the people of all age groups because it kept them physically and mentally fit and active besides enhancing their personal abilities i.e. self-confidence, tolerance and decision power.
