The Board of Advanced Studies and Research, University of Karachi, awarded 13 PhD, seven MPhil and one MS degrees on Thursday, KU Registrar Professor Dr Moazzam Ali Khan said.
The MPhil degrees were given to Ayaz Khan (Applied Economics), Soubia Malik (Physiology), Shahnilla Haider (Mathematical Sciences), Sana Sharif (Molecular Medicine), Asad Manzoor (Agriculture), Muhammad Nasir (Library & Information Science) and Syed Mujahid Ali (Physics).
The PhD degrees were awarded to Muhammad Kazim Ali [Biotechnology (KIBGE)], Musarrat Perveen (Sociology), Muhammad Athar Hussain (Education), Anab Fatima (Pharmaceutics), Samreen Begum (Molecular Medicine), Samina Khan (Biochemistry), Abdul Wahid [Islamic Studies (SZIC)], Ayesha Rasheed [Botany (ISHU)], Nausheen Wasi (International Relations), Farwa Sarwat (Genetics), Shumaila Mazhar [Chemistry (HEJ)], Imran Waheed (Pharmacognosy), Dr Mahjabeen Khan (MBBS) [Environmental Studies]. The recipient of the MS degree was Nasir Khan (Geography).
