Tariq Jehangiri appointed AG for ICT

ISLAMABAD: The President of Pakistan has appointed Tariq Mehmood Jehangiri as the new Advocate General for Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and Ministry of Interior has issued a notification in this regard. Jehangiri will be the second Advocate General (AG) for ICT after resignation of the first AG Mian Abdur Rauf who resigned earlier this month.
Tariq Jehangiri will also serve as ex-officio Chairman of the Islamabad Bar Council (IBC). As per procedure, Ministry of Interior formulates a proposal for the appointment of AG with names and credentials of different candidates.
