Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said terrorism, extremism and sectarianism are a big hurdle in the development of the country.
The CM was talking to assembly members from different districts on Thursday. The assembly members included Malik Sultan Mahmood Hanjra, Daniyal Aziz and Javed Ali Shah. The CM said the menace of terrorism and sectarianism would be rooted out with the support of the nation and Pakistan will be made a haven of peace. Implementation of the National Action Plan evolved with the consensus of the national leadership is yielding positive results and effective measures are being taken against terrorism and sectarianism, the CM said, adding comprehensive steps had been taken under National Action Plan and sentences had been made more stringent through legislation.
Shahbaz Sharif said the nation had decided to defeat terrorists and a vigorous action was being taken against terrorists and their facilitators. He said brave Pakistani nation has rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war against terrorism. The CM said elements who shed the blood of innocent Pakistanis will meet their logical end and peace and harmony will be restored in the country.
