MANSEHRA: The employees of the Revenue Department have gone on strike for an indefinite period, demanding the upgrading of their pay scales on Monday.
“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government has been assuring us of upgrading for the last almost three consecutive years, but all in vain,” Sajid Jahangir, the district president of Patwaris Association, told reporters.
Flanked by general secretary Bashir Khan, Jahangir said the government had announced to upgrade basic pay scale of Patwari to 9 and for Girdawar to 11 but nothing was done yet.
