Islamabad: A ‘Mehfil-e-Mushaira was arranged at IMCG (PG), F-7/4 to pay tribute to renowned poet Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib, says a press release.
The function started with the recitation of verses from holy Quran and a ‘naat’ presented by Hina Arif Abbasi. The function was hosted by Ali Yasir. The chief guest of function was renowned poet, writer Anwar Masood, Ehsan Akbar. Mir-e-Mushaira was Dr Tauseef Tabassum.
Poet Ali Yasir, Farah Deeba, Ayesha Masood, Junaid Aazar, Anjum Khaleeq, Hassan Zaidi, Dur-e-Shahwaar, Jalil Aali, MehboobZafar, ManzarNaqvi, Dr AbrarUmer, AbidaTaqi, Rubina Shaad, Arshad Mehboob Nashaad and Iffat Khalid also participated in the function to pay tribute to the great poet Mirza Ghalib. At the end college principal Saleha Jabeen presented the shields among the participant.
