Model Town group sweeps society polls
The Model Town Group on Sunday swept the elections of the Model Town Society and Sahibzada Saifur Rehman was elected president with 1,536 votes. The polling was held from 9am till 5pm in a peaceful manner. Two groups i.e. Model Town Group and Friend’s Group were contesting the election. According to the final result, Sahibzada Saifur Rehman secured 1,536 votes while his opponent Col ® Tahir Kardar got 865 votes. Similarly, Dawood Barry of Model Town Group was elected vice-president who got 1,604 votes against 862 votes of Zill-e-Elahi of Friend’s Group. All the remaining candidates of Model Town Group also won in their respective blocks. Sahibzada Saifur Rehman while talking to the media said he and his team would complete all the ongoing development projects in time.
