Bisham youths remove garbage, criticise admin
BISHAM: Disappointed over the cold shoulder response of the district administration to repeated requests, the youth took the initiative and removed garbage from a dumping point in the main bazaar here on Saturday.
The youth had time and again approached the district administration to dispose of the garbage at a dumping point in Bisham bazaar but all the demands were fell on deaf ears.
The youth then decided to remove the garbage on self-help basis.
The youth, including Sajjad Zeb, Sajid Khan, Hashmat Khan and others, said that the shopkeepers were dumping the garbage in Bisham bazaar, which not only littered the area but also causing hardships to locals and those visiting the bazaar.
When contacted, Deputy Commissioner Shangla Abdul Hameed said that directives had been issued to the Tehsil Municipal Administration for disposing of the garbage, adding, the work for removing the trash would be started from tomorrow (Monday).
