The Nadra situation
On Friday (Feb 23), the chairman of Nadra visited a few Nadra offices in Karachi to have a first-hand experience of the problems faced by citizens while getting their CNIC cards made or renewed. Citizens stand in long queues for hours and when their turn finally comes, the staff cause unnecessary problems for them. The chairman personally went through the difficulties the citizens have to put up with on a regular basis.
The chairman has vowed to tackle the issue in a timely manner. The higher authorities of the passport office should follow suit. When citizens go to passport offices to get their passports made, they face difficulties as well. This process should be streamlined and efforts should be made to provide convenience to a large number of people.
