Lesco cuts off supply to village

LAHORE : Facing heat over rising power distribution losses, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has initiated action against its defaulters and electricity theives. According to a statement issued on Friday, Lesco cut off power supply of Chak 47 located at Rachna Town of Ferozwala Division. The spokesman for the company said that out of 350 consumers, only 35 were valid metered customer of the power utility. About Rs 4 million were pending with the electricity consumers of the village. He said that similar action was being initiated in other areas also.
