NOWSHERA: Advisor to Prime Minister and provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Amir Muqam on Wednesday said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was the undisputed leader of the party and he would name a new president of the party soon.

Talking to reporters here, he said the Supreme Court’s decision against Nawaz Sharif would not make any difference as the former premier was living in the hearts of the people.

He said the popularity graph of Nawaz Sharif was going up with each court decision against him and the former premier was accorded warm welcome by the people in the public meetings.

Amir Muqam said those distributing sweets over the court decision against Nawaz Sharif would get only disappointment as the PML-N would win the upcoming general election and form the next government as well.

He said the nation was concerned over the decisions of courts and the stance of Nawaz Sharif was getting public support.

Amir Muqam said the Parliament was the supreme institution and all state institutions should remain in their constitutional limit as confrontation was not in favour of anyone.

He also asked the opposition parties to learn from the past mistakes and support the government to ensure supremacy of the Parliament.

The PML-N provincial chief said the country was facing internal and external challenges and uncertainty and confrontation among state organs was dangerous for the country.

He also criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, saying corruption and mismanagement was rampant in the province.
