The Foundation University, Islamabad (FUI) and Isra University jointly organised the Association for Excellence in Medical Education (AEME) Conference at FUI, says a press release.
PM&DC President Professor Dr Masud Hameed Khan was the chief guest at inaugural session of the three-day International moot.
Major General (r) Khadim Hussain HI(M), rector of FUI, Prof Dr Ghulam Qadir Kazi, VC Isra University, Major General (r) Dr. Nasim ul Majeed, principal FU Medical College, Prof Dr Umar Ali Khan, General Secretary AEME PVC ANMCH and Dr Ara Tekian, member AEME were also present on the occasion.
The theme of the conference was “the Continuum of Education in the Health Professions: Enhancing the Quality”. Scholars from various international and national organisations spoke on the occasion, which attracted around 2000 participants.
AEME collaborators include Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) USA, World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), Higher Education Commission, Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, College
of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan, Foundation University Islamabad, Isra University and number of leading Medical & Dental Colleges of the country.
The conference is focusing on Teaching & Learning, Learning Environment & E-learning, Assessment, Rehabilitation, Curriculum Development, Quality Assurance & Evaluation, Continuous Professional Development, Nursing, Dental Education,
Postgraduate Training, Ethics & Professionalism, Veteri-
nary Sciences and Poster Review.
While addressing the gathering, the President PM&DC appreciated the organizers for making fool-proof arrangements of the conference while Dr Ghulam Qadir Kazi President AEME thanked all the participants. In the end, the Rector FUI presented the honorary shield to the President PM&DC.
