KARACHI: Two high-prized national level junior squash events are scheduled in February and March.
The first event is All Pakistan National Junior Squash Championship in Lahore. According to Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), Punjab Squash Association has said that the tournament would be organised for boys under-17 and under-19 at Punjab Squash Complex, Lahore.
The prize money offered is Rs75,000.The draw size of the main round is 16 players (11 direct, one wild card, four qualifiers) and qualifying round draw is of 16 players (12 direct and four local qualifiers).
The organisers will offer one wild card for main round of each category. The second event is Wazir Khan All Pakistan National Junior Squash Championship to be organised by KP Squash Association at PAF Squash Complex, Peshawar.
The events are for under-15, under-17 and under-19 categories. The qualifying matches will be held on March 27, and the main round will be held from March 28-31.The prize money is Rs100,000. The draw size for qualifying round is 16 (12 direct and four local qualifiers) and for main round is 16 (11 direct, one wild card, and four qualifiers).The organisers will offer wild card one for main round of each category.
