CHARSAADA: A man here on Sunday asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police (IGP) to take action against the cops of Khanmai Police Station for destroying crops in his fields.

Speaking at a press conference, Mufti Suhail Jan alleged the police took the action in violation of the court order.

He said that he had obtained a stay order from the court, but the cops on the orders of an influential official damaged the crop in a bid to take possession of the land.

Mufti Suhail said he had purchased six acres land from his relatives Mian Masroor Gul and Mian Aamir Gul in 1998. He said the land was not transferred in his name at that time as the deal was sealed through a stamp paper.

The man claimed that later Masroor Gul and Aamir Gul resold the land to some other influential persons and transferred its ownership in their name. He also appealed to the chief justice of the Peshawar High Court to look into the matter and provide him justice.
