Annual Sports Day at Super Nova School

Islamabad: Annual Sports Day of Super Nova School, Elementary Branch, was held on Saturday, at Sports Complex, Islamabad, says a press release.

More than 350 players competed in the event. The enthusiasm, energy and skill exhibited by all the young players was extra ordinary.Opening ceremony was held with lighting of torch, march past and the releasing of balloons. Large number spectators, parents, families of players were there to witness the young rising stars exhibiting their talent and skills.

The ceremony was attended by guests of honour, Farhan Mehboob (Top seed Pakistani and Top Seed Asian Squash Player), Haseeb Gul (Pakistan Squash Player) and Chaudhry Abdul Majeed (General Manager, Multi Professional Cooperative Housing Society, MPCHS). Director HR of the School Navid Sultan said, “Electronic gadgets have created a distance between youth and playgrounds.

Human body is built to engage in physical activities, athletics and sports and not to sit idle on a couch playing a PlayStation or using smartphone or tablet. Staying away from active routine impacts the human health badly.”
