KARACHI: Aania Farooq took lead on the first day of ladies’ event in the 37th CAS Open Golf Championship here at the Airmen Golf Course on Saturday.
The talented Aania was on top with gross score of 44. Humera Khalid was second with 45 gross followed by Dania Syed with the score 47.
Meanwhile, in the third round of professionals’ category, Matloob Ahmed maintained the overnight lead with gross score of 211. Zulfiqar Ali stood second with score of 215, while Mohammad Shabbir, Mohammad Munir and Waheed Baloch shared third position with gross score of 216.
In amateurs’ category, Ghazanfar Mehmood retained his position with a gross score of 224. He was followed by Mohammad Sharif with score of 226.
