SC bans entry of Shahid Orakzai in all registries

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday banned the entry of Shahid Orakzai in all Registries of the Supreme Court for filing false petitions as well as insulting the judges of the superior courts.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the petition filed by Shahid Orakzai challenging the elevation of former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Syed Mansoor Ali Shah to Supreme Court.

The Chief Justice observed that they will not allow persons filing false petitions for insulting judges of the superior courts. The court banned the entry of Shahid Orakzai in the premises of Supreme Court with the ruling that the “era of filing false petitions is now over”.

"You are a habitual petitioner and also insult judges”, the CJP told Orakzai and remarked that they will not allow persons insulting the judges. The Chief Justice observed that Orakazi brought in a new case every day and filing false petition. Meanwhile, the court banned the entry of Shahid Orakzai in the premises of Supreme Court. When Shahid Orakzai asked in which registry his entry was banned, the Chief Justice replied in all registries of the apex court. In which country, Orakzai again asked. In Pakistan, the CJP replied with warning as to if Orakzai did not leave the rostrum, he can face stern action.
