PR tree plantation campaign
LAHORE: Dr Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Inspector General (IG), Pakistan Railways (PR), on Wednesday, launched tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at Central Police Office Railways. DIG Operation Shariq Jamal Khan and SP Railway Police, Lahore, Raja Zaheer Arshad were also present.
The IG PR highlighted the importance of tree plantation. To overcome environment pollution in the country, plantation is a dire need of the hour. The IG PR said that PR would plant thousands of saplings. At the end of the ceremony, a prayer for the safety and security of the country was held.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways Divisional Superintendent, Lahore, has launched tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at Cantonment Railway Station on Wednesday.
“Around 15,000 saplings would be planted in Lahore Division “said Muhammad Sufiyan Dogar, Pakistan Railways Lahore Division Superintendent. On the occasion, 150 out 15,000 saplings were planted here.
