Kashmir XI win hockey match
ISLAMABAD: Kashmir XI beat Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) XI by 1-0 in exhibition hockey match played in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day at Naseer Bunda Ground Monday. Centre half Muhammad Essa scored the only goal of the match in the 6th minute of first half. The PSB XI could not avail goal scoring opportunities and also missed five penalty corners. Hayat and Dost Ali Muneeb gave excellent exhibition of stick work. In football match, PSB XI beat Kashmir XI by 7-6 on penalty kicks at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad. Within the scheduled time both teams managed two goals each. Syed Abu Ahmed Akif, Secretary Ministry of IPC and Mrs Mishal Malik were the chief guests and distributed prizes amongst the teams. Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General PSB Dr Waqar Ahmed DDG, M Azam Dar Director Media and sizeable crowd was also present on the occasion.
