Gloom in Kabal after suicide attack
MINGORA: The atmosphere remained gloomy in Kabal tehsil of Swat on Sunday a day after the suicide attack at the army sports area.
Eleven soldiers including a captain were martyred and 13 others injured in the gruesome attack. The Kabal bazaar and the main road remained closed on the second day of the terror incident.
The incident has created concerns among the residents of the area as it reminded them the terror wave in the valley that had eventually resulted in their displacement in 2009. The security forces had cordoned off the area after the attack and had closed the main road for traffic. "The fresh incident has created unrest among the people as they were enjoying peaceful life after years of militancy," said a resident. He hoped that the authorities would foil such sabotage acts in future.
