Acute shortage of soil water

MULTAN: The country is facing acute shortage of soil water and it stands at seventh number among the countries facing water paucity. Punjab Agriculture Secretary M Mehmood said agriculture fields were consuming 93 percent soil water while only seven percent was utilised for drinking and other purposes. He urged the public to ensure saving each drop of water.
