Another NA seat for Bajaur sought

KHAR: The Bajaur Youth Jirga has demanded allocation of another NA seat for the tribal agency. Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, the jirga chairman Javed Rehman claimed that the population of Bajaur Agency had crossed one million mark. He said the government should now create third seat for Bajaur Agency.

The jirga chairman condemned the killing of three tribesmen from Bajaur Agency in Lahore and Naqeebullah of Waziristan in in Karachi. He asked the government to take notice of the racial profiling of the Pakhtuns in the rest of the country. “Pakhtuns should not be punished for their sacrifices for Pakistan,” he added. The jirga chairman said that such actions were endangering the integrity of the country and the people responsible for such racist actions should be punished.
