ISLAMABAD: After demonstrating its political power in Haripur rally on Saturday, the ruling PML-N will prove if it has a big role in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa politics in the next election.
PTI and its chief minister Parvaiz Khattak will face tough time in retaining Peshawar valley’s dominance as he has already lost his coalition government’s long serving ally Jamaat Islami. The revival of MMA is also seen as fulfillment of Nawaz Sharif’s desire to snatch the initiative from PTI. To the luck of PMLN, the PTI chief has generated lot of heat and angered large number of party hard core workers by his scathing attack on parliament last week.
The PMLN is also torn apart by internal differences. And if it succeeded it will mean first big dent in the PTI vote bank. Maryam Nawaz has become main attraction of the PMLN rallies who speaks as heir in apparent to her father and gains public sympathy by attacking his adversaries through her well written speeches and through social media campaign. In fact Nawaz Sharif has practically handed over his legacy to his bold and outspoken daughter.
