Man kills sister for ‘honour’

SARGODHA: A man allegedly shot dead his sister for ‘honour’ in Jhal Chakian police limits on Sunday.

Accused Asad Raza, a resident of Chak 81/NB, allegedly gunned down his sister Naseem Bibi for honour. The body has been handed over to the heirs by the police after completing legal formalities. The police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.

Nine booked for power theft: The Fesco teams on Sunday caught nine people on the charge of power theft.

The teams conducted raids at Nishtarabad, Kot Farid, Bhalwal City and Civil Lines areas and caught nine pilferers, including Talib Hussain, Imran Ali, Liaquat Hussain, Manzoor Ahmed, Sohail, Nawaz, Qasim and Ijaz Ahmed. On the report of the Fesco, the police have registered separate cases against the accused.
