Carjackers’ gang busted in Malakand

BATKHELA: The Malakand Levies busted a four-member gang of inter-provincial carjackers and recovered three vehicles, an official said on Saturday.
It was learnt that the Malakand Levies launched crackdown against the car-lifters in Malakand Agency, arresting four-member gang. They were identified as Zahid Gul, Imran, Shah Wazir, residents of Batkhela and Muhammad Idrees, a resident of Lahore. The law-enforcers also recovered three motorcars from their possession.
The officials said that the gang would lift cars in Punjab and sell them in the name of non-custom paid vehicles after removing their registration numbers.
The political administration announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the Levies personnel.
