The PAT-led grand alliance is another step taken to bring the PML-N down. The gathering on Wednesday (Jan 17) was held to protest against the Model Town killing. Politicians had one demand: the resignation of Shehbaz Sharif. Although some of Tahirul Qadri’s demands were legitimate, resorting to sit-ins cannot prevent such types of incidents from happening in the future.
Protests and road blockades only cause problems to citizens. The legal way available to PAT leader is to take the case to the court. In order to let democracy flourish, all political parties should avoid coming into streets and causing problems to citizens.
