The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) has recovered a seven-year-old kidnapped boy, and arrested two abductors at Badhani Goth, Hawksbay area, on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, CIA’s Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Saqib Ismail Memon said that father of the abducted boy had registered FIR No 281/17 with the PIB Colony police station.

Memon said the father in his statement to police said his son, Abdur Rehman, was kidnapped by his servant Pervez alias Peru from his house on December 29. The suspect called Rehman’s father and demanded five million rupees for his release, he added.

DIGP Memon said the AVCC and the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (ACLC) on Saturday conducted a raid at a house in Hawksbay area, Badhani Goth, from where they recovered Rehman and arrested two kidnappers, namely Pervez alias Peru and Abdul Shakoor. He said the police handed the boy over to his family and registered a case against the kidnappers.
