KHAR: On behalf of corps commander, Peshawar, the political administration on Friday distributed Rs 1million among the heirs of martyred Bajaur Levies personnel during a ceremony held here.
Political Agent Amir Khattak was chief guest on the occasion while Bajaur Scouts Col Rehman Qadir, tribal elders and heirs of the martyred Bajaur Levies men attended the gathering. PA Amir Khattak gave away the amount to the victim families.
Speaking on the occasion, Amir Khattak said that Levies personnel had sacrificed their lives for maintaining peace in the region.
The official announced that one child of each martyred would be given admissions in Governor Model School. The kids would also be given admissions in various cadet colleges of the country, he added.
