7 houses gutted in Masehra

MANSEHRA: Seven houses were gutted in the densely populated Nari Mohallah in the city on Wednesday evening.

The fire, which erupted in a house due to electricity short-circuiting, spread to adjacent houses in a jiffy.

The rescuers rushed to the spot soon after the incident and extinguished the fire after hectic efforts. “I cannot say at this stage what was exactly the cause of this heavy fire but seven houses are gutted and we are still active to put it out,” Khuram Khan Swati, the tehsil nazim told reporters.
