LAHORE: The opposition leaders led by Dr Tahirul Qadri unleashed a spate of foul language against the PML-N leadership during their speeches at Wednesday’s public meeting.

The foremost among them was Sheikh Rashid Ahmad who not only dubbed the Sharif brothers as mafia but also accused Nawaz Sharif of making former nationalist Bengali leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as his hero and also having a Sheikh Hasina Wajed in his home, a reference to Maryam Nawaz. He shared a story that before the birth of Nawaz, a palmist while reading the hand of his father told him that a boy would born to him who would mint money, become prime minister three times, but die on the day he would speak truth. Sheikh Rashid dubbed the Sharif brothers as shameless and mulish, and termed Rana Sanaullah as having the face of a bat.

Referring to the summoning of Shahbaz Sharif on January 22, he asked the NAB to beat him up with shoes on the day of hearing. He also accused Nawaz of giving away the address of Ajmal Kasab to Reuters only to serve Indian friends.

He also accused prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi of as the thief of PIA and alleged that Nawaz had carried out a US conspiracy to amend the finality of prophethood oath for the parliamentarians.

PTI chairman Imran Khan too described the Sharif brothers as mafia dons who either purchase loyalties or blackmail and terrorise the opponents. He accused the Sharif brothers of having born in establishment’s lap and fed with their feeders in early ages. He described Rana Sana as the one who looks like a killer even from his face.

Qadri said the Sharif brothers were a mafia who had surpassed even the notorious Sicilian mafia since they never succeeded in coming into power. He said the Sharifs run Punjab police as their party’s militant wing, PML-N as family limited company and government as their business empire.
