Butcher arrested for supplying unhygienic meat

PESHAWAR: The district administration and officials of Livestock Department on Wednesday arrested a butcher on charges of supplying unhygienic meat to dealers in the provincial capital.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Tariq Hussain and Dr Abbas of the Livestock Department arrested a butcher on Dilzak road for slaughtering calf and recovered rotted meat stored in a godown in Pakha Ghulam area on his pointation. The administration had carried out laboratory examination of the meat which found the meat unfit for human consumption. The seized meat was disposed of while the arrested butcher was sent to prison.
