Hazrat Ali (RA) stated that a state can survive without a religion but not without justice. This holds true for Pakistan. We are witnessing this state of unrest and chaos after years of hypocrisy, abuse, corruption, money laundering etc. by successive governments. Both the civil and military leaderships of the country exploited religion and patronised illiteracy. All of this resulted in the beginning of the collapse from within. On August 11, 1947, the Quaid clearly elaborated that Pakistan inherited cancer of corruption, bribery, black-marketing and hoarding of essential items. He was referring to civil and uniformed bureaucracy trained by the Raj to serve the British Empire that Pakistan inherited at independence.
It was precisely for this reason that his first preference was establishment of the Constituent Assembly comprising all Muslim, Hindu (Dalit) and Parsi legislators, who opted for Pakistan. Unfortunately the Quaid died in 1948 and with him his vision died too. As a result, Pakistan continued to be ruled by dictators and corrupt politicians whose sole objective is the accumulation of wealth and power.
