Four smugglers among 18 suspects held
The Sindh Rangers on Monday claimed to have arrested 18 suspects, including four alleged diesel smugglers, during different raids in the metropolis.
According to a spokesperson for the paramilitary force, a team carried out a raid near Toll Plaza and seized 450,000 litters of smuggled Iranian diesel from an oil tanker and a van. The team arrested four alleged smugglers, namely Abdul Hafiz, Muhammad Jan, Iqbal and Muhammad Irfan.
Separately, a Rangers party carried out search operations in Bahadurabad, Ittehad Town, Sachal, Malir and Awami Colony areas and arrested 11 suspected street criminals. Moreover, a Rangers team detained three suspected drug peddlers, namely Muhammad Esa, Nazir Muhammad, and Shah Nawaz. The Rangers also found weapons and drugs.
