Stand on the right
January 12, 2018
Metro stations and big shopping malls install escalators for public convenience. These machines have two types of people: one who stands on the escalator and one who walks on it. Usually, people who are going to work prefer walking on the escalator. However, they failed to do so since many people stand on either side of the machine, leaving no space for a person to walk.
The escalator etiquettes say to stand on the right and walk on the left. There should be proper signs near escalators informing people to leave the left portion of the escalators for those who are in a hurry and prefer walking on the escalators.
