A traffic warden humiliated a citizen by writing “Insaan” (human) instead of his name and “Janwar” (animal) instead of his father’s name on a challan form on Saturday. The victim was identified as Shoib and the warden as Khurram. The warden stopped the victim on some traffic violation near Karim Market and demanded documents of the vehicle but he refused. To which, they exchanged harsh words with each other.
Chief Traffic Police Officer Tayyab Hafiz Cheema suspended the warden and ordered an inquiry. —Correspondent
