Bukhatir XI prevails in UAE

LAHORE: Bukhatir XI prevailed over One Stop Tourism by 3 wickets in a nail biting second match of Junoon Cup Season 1.Reports received here states that the activity is being organized by Abdullah Azhar under Ajman Cricket Council with main sponsors as Luxe Maison Real Estate and RSM Gears.

Asked to bat first, One Stop Tourism made 124 after a shaky start by losing UAE & OST Skipper Rohan Mustafa on the second ball of the match. Later they lost the wickets of Hafiz Kaleem and Saif Janjua. Ghulam Shabbir looked aggressive in the middle order managed to score 20 runs off 22 balls until Sayed Badi got the better off him and ended Shabbir’s innings.

One Stop Tourism were in a difficult situation as they had only managed to score 65 runs with the loss of 5 wickets in 10 overs. Thanks to Muhammed Azhar and Mohammed Ikram OST got to 124 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Azhar scored 28 runs off 14 balls with 4 fours and a six, and Ikram scored a stable 21 runs off 21 balls with 2 fours.

Chasing the target that seemed easy, Bukhatir XI openers Chirag Suri and Rizwan added 38 runs in 6 overs when Rohan Mustafa managed to get the breakthrough of Rizwan. Chiraj Suri scored a stable 41 runs off 47 balls after he was unfortunately ran out.

OST managed to stretch the game till the last over where Bukhatir XI needed 18 runs off the last 6 balls. Syam Ramesh got the better off Muhammed Azhar as he hit 3 gigantic sixes off 3 balls to lead Bukhatir XI to their first win of Junoon Cup Season 1.Man of the Match award was given to Syam Ramesh who took a wicket when bowling and scored a blasting 38 runs off 19 balls with 5 sixes.
