PESHAWAR: The activists of Defence of Pakistan Council (DPC) on Tuesday staged a protest against the ban on colleting donation by the Jamatud Dawa (JuD) and demanded the government to reverse the decision.
They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the decision and favour of their demands.
The protesters gathered outside the building of the Peshawar Press Club and staged the protest. The speakers alleged that the government had taken the decision under pressure from the US.
They believed that the government was trying to appease the US and India by taking such unpopular decision.
The protesters said the JuD was a welfare body and provided healthcare facilities to thousands of needy persons.
