THE City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has directed all the superstores operating in the provincial capital to follow the official prices of the essential edibles otherwise strict action will be taken against them.
District Coordination Officer (DCO) Lahore Captain (R) Muhammad Usman chaired a meeting with the representatives of the Superstores Association at the Town Hall on Thursday.
The meeting was also attended by Assistant Commissioners and all the town administrators.
The DCO Lahore told the representatives of the Superstores Association that the CDGL would not tolerate overcharging of the essential commodities. He said the CDGL would definitely implement its fixed rates on superstores and they could not sell essential commodities at higher rates.
The DCO Lahore also asked the Superstore owners to make the DCO rate-counters of the essential commodities at superstores.
GCU campus: Government College University (GCU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman has said the development work on 400-acre Kala Shah Kaku (KSK) campus of the varsity is going to begin this year.
The vice-chancellor said the master plan and all the engineering designs of the campus had been recently approved by Higher Education Commission and it was anticipated that the development work on the campus would begin very soon.
