Speedy car ruins life of university student

Islamabad: A speedy car hit a university student at midnight near the G-9 Markaz service road while he was walking on roadside to get a cab. The car driver sped away after hitting the student.

Reportedly, 22-year-old, Hassan Iqbal, a student of Engineering Programme in 7th semester at Air University, Islamabad was walking on roadside to get a cab after attending a coordination meeting with other class fellows about the forthcoming event in university. But unfortunately, a speedy car hit him so badly that the impact severed his right leg from the body on spot.

The rescue service ambulance shifted Hassan Iqbal in unconscious condition to PIMS. The doctors after emergency medical treatment asked the family to shift the patient to a private hospital for further treatment. The young student has both arms and ribs fractures besides multiple internal injuries.

The police recovered the car on next day while the driver is yet to be apprehended. An FIR has been lodged against the unknown driver in Karachi Company Police Station while police claimed to arrest the driver very soon. The Air University administration is looking after all the treatment process of young student and perusing case with city police to put the culprit behind the bars.
