Ayaz says burden is off his chest

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday said that he is feeling relaxed after giving statement about his fear regarding possibility of assemblies not completing their tenure as they are making efforts to ward off the threat and hopefully everything will be fine in Pakistan on political front. Regarding his earlier statement he said, “The burden has got off my chest; we are all making efforts to ward off the danger [to political setup] and inshallah, it will be averted,” he said this while responding to media persons’ questions here after the inauguration ceremony of the newly established office and showroom in Islamabad by BSH Hausgeräte GmbH—-a 100pc subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH Germany. When Ayaz Sadiq was asked how he smelled the danger, he replied, “I smelt the danger through the air of Islamabad.” On this occasion, he emphasised the need of increasing bilateral trade relations between Germany and Pakistan. Pakistani industries can greatly benefit from German technological advancements and a growing middle class population offers great potential to any foreign investor in Pakistan. Tomas Alonso, BSH Home Appliances FZE CEO said that German companies consider Pakistan a preferred destination for trade and business and Pakistani market offers immense potential of bilateral trade between two countries. In a low inflation high growth economy like Pakistan, there is a growing affluent consumer base, which is forecasted to increase by around 6pc annually. Both factors are having an overall positive effect on local purchasing power.

Pakistan is the sixth most populous country in the world, making it a very attractive market indeed for the BSH Home Appliances. “On account of the growing population and a young population with the low median age of 22, we see good business opportunities in Pakistan for Bosch in the medium and long term,” Alonso said.
