Pollution in the air
December 14, 2017
Karachi is among the five most polluted cities in the world. Breathing in the city’s air is equivalent to smoking two packets of cigarettes a day. The question is: what is our government doing about it? The answer is nothing. No steps are being taken to protect the environment from pollution.
During winter, people are more susceptible to the effects of dust allergies. Residents cannot go out without wearing a face mask. We are living in a city where we cannot even breathe in the fresh air. It is time the authorities took action and came up with a long-term solution to resolve the problem.
