Blocked drains

Despite issuance of hefty funds by the provincial government to the relevant department, storm water drains are still not being cleared in Karachi. It must be pointed out that the storm water drain from Lea Market to Shah Waliullah Road, Lyari has not been cleared during the past several years.

Blocked drains result in the accumulation of waste water which can cause serious health problems. The authorities must look into this serious issue and arrange for the cleaning of the water drains at the earliest.
