LHC rejects SHO's bail plea
LAHORE: A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench on Tuesday dismissed a bail application of a Station House Officer (SHO) involved in accumulating assets beyond his known sources of income.
The bench, headed by Justice Mirza Viqas Rauf, heard the bail application of the accused SHO Rana Imran Saleem.
During the hearing, petitioner''s counsel submitted that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested his client on charges of having assets beyond his known sources of income. He contended that the allegations levelled against his client were baseless as the bureau did not have any proof. He pleaded with the court to grant benefit of bail to the petitioner.
However, the NAB prosecutor opposed the contentions and submitted that solid evidence was available against theaccused.
