Rulers want to delay elections: Sarwar
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member of core committee and former Punjab governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has alleged that the PML-N’s corruption is an assault on democracy.
Addressing the traders’ convention in an iron market, he said the rulers did want elections on time and are making excuses to delay the elections. Rulers have done nothing except looting and plundering public money. Any attempt to befool people will not succeed, the former governor said, adding the war for bringing change in the country under the dynamic, visionary and rational leadership of Imran Khan must succeed.
Ch Sarwar said the country's debt has increased by 83 billion dollars which is the failure of economic policies, adding the government is busy making false promises with the poor. Participants of the convention urged the government to take austerity measures to ensure economic protection of steel industry against all odds, he said.
DEFEAT: PTI Abdul Aleem Khan has said the party will decide electoral tickets after the decision of delimitation of constituencies. If the Election Commission of Pakistan does not fulfill the standard, the PTI has the right to move court, the PTI leader said while talking to the media here at Chairman Secretariat.
Abdul Aleem Khan said federal and Punjab governments lost all their moral credibility to further remain in power and that was the reason that Imran Khan demanded fresh mandate but PPP and PML-N just opposed it because they were well aware of their defeat. Abdul Aleem Khan said Nawaz League had entered a closed street and had no way out. Abdul Aleem Khan said once again Nawaz League would try to come to power but now it is not 2013 and the PTI has prepared its teams in each district and no one would be allowed to adopt the same tactics.
He said very soon more mega corruption scandals of the rulers would surface and the whole family would be in courts. Abdul Aleem Khan while replying to a question said unless proper system is devised, corruption free society cannot be established.
He said PTI always welcomes positive criticism and believes media plays a role of bridge between the masses and political parties, but disinformation or miss-information campaign against PTI Chairman Imran Khan cannot be appreciated as yellow journalism is not allowed as per code of ethics of the media.
