Dangerous crimes
With the introduction of information technology, the world has transformed into a global village. However modern technology comes with its own challenges. The recent incident in which a girl killed her sister highlights the fact that how these gadgets can be dangerous for our society. According to some media reports, the girl took the life of her sister because the latter’s friends had made a lewd video of her and the group was threatening to leak the video if she didn’t give in to the latter’s demands.
Even after persistent requests, the sister refused to delete the video and images from the mobile phone. This incident shows how modern technology became the reason for the death of a young girl. There is a lesson for all of this and especially for parents. We should pay attention to the activities of our children. We should also check their phones, if need be. Had the sisters discussed the matter with their parents, the life of a young girl could have been saved.
