KARACHI: Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) announced an 18-member team for the fifth edition of World Cup Cricket of the Blind.
The PBCC selection committee comprised Salman Tariq Bokhari (Chief Selector), Masood Jan and Ibrar Shah (members).The World Cup Cricket of the Blind (ODI format) is scheduled to be held in Pakistan and the UAE from January 7 to 21 in 2018.
The 18 players have been selected on the basis of their performance and physical fitness in the recent national blind cricket events and training camps that took place at Faisalabad and Okara.
Squad: Amir Ishfaq (vice captain), Riasat Khan, Sajid Nawaz, Zafar Iqbal, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Ayyaz (B1), Nisar Ali (captain), Badar Munir, Haroon Khan, Mati Ullah, Anees Javed (B2), Mohsin Khan, Muhammad Jamil, Muhammad Ejaz, Sana Ullah Marwat, Israr Hassan, Muhammad Rashid (B3). Zeshan Abbasi (playing manager), Abdul Razzaq (coach), Masood Jan (batting coach), Tahir Mehmood Butt (trainer), Asif Azeem (media manager).
