Saniha, Twinkle claim gold medals in Singapore

KARACHI: Pakistan’s powerlifters Saniha Ghafoor and Twinkle Sohail made clean sweep in their respective categories at the Oceania-Pacific Powerlifting Championship held at Singapore on Saturday.
Saniha won four gold medals in the 57kg category for squat, bench press, deadlift and total weight.She lifted an aggregate weight of 280kg, 115kg in squat, 55kg in bench press, 110kg in deadlift.
Meanwhile, Twinkle Sohail also secured four gold medals in the 72kg competitions.Sybil Sohail (47kg), Rabbia Razzaq (84kg), Mohammad Ahmad Khan (105kg), Syed Nadeem Hashmi (105kg) and Mehmood Heera (120kg) are the others representing Pakistan.
