CB Academy advance to next round

PESHAWAR: The Cantonment Board (CB) Academy Wednesday advanced to the next round of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Under-19 T20 Tournament under way at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium.
CB Academy defeated NBF Academy by a huge 105 runs. CB Academy set 186-run target in the allotted overs for the opponents.Haris Ahmed (56) was the main run-getter while Abbas Afridi (35) and Aman Zeb (30) also played well for CB Academy.
NBF Academy failed to chase the target and were bowled out for just 81. Faizan made 40 runs for NBF Academy. Pacer Majeed took five wickets for CB Academy.
On Tuesday, Yasir Shah Academy won opening match of the Under-19 tournament.Yasir Shah Cricket Academy defeated Peshawar Badshah by five wickets. Peshawar Badshah batting first scored 102 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Yasir Shah Academy achieved the target for the loss of five wickets.
Earlier, a colourful ceremony was held in which Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director General Junaid Khan was the chief guest. As many as 16 teams of the province are featuring in the tournament.
