Rawalpindi: The residents of the Union Council (UC-78) Dhoke Munshi Khan have appealed to the Mayor of Rawalpindi to turn his attention towards their basic problems that must be resolved to provide them some relief in highly tough living conditions.
The residents including Raja Ikram, Mohsin Naqvi, Yawar Khan and Mumtaz Begum said the rising encroachment is causing traffic jams on main roads so the administration must launch a crackdown to remove illegal structures from the area.
“The issue of cleanliness has also become a matter of grave concern for the residents. The heaps of garbage can be seen at various points that present a bleak picture of level of cleanliness in the area,” they said.
They said the kids and youngsters play around the railway line due to absence of the playground in the area, adding “Playing near the railway line is too dangerous for the children so the administration should take measures to set up a proper playground in the union council.”
